tchina cookies

i made some tchina cookies the day before yesterday but did not find the time to post the recipe. so here it is =)


  • 200g butter
  • 3/4 cup/glass of sugar
  • small bag of vanilla sugar
  • 3 cups/glasses flour

  • heat your oven to 180 deg.
  • mix everything together until you get a big oily ball of dough that does not stick to your fingers.
  • create small balls from the dough and put it in the oven.
  • look very carefully at the oven and don't let them get too brownish...
  • when you take the cookies out of the oven don't try to eat one! you’ll burn your tongue and they will crumble! wait untill the cookies are cooler.

it could be a bit difficult to get tchina in the uk, but just try some turkish or arabic shops. and if you cant get it anywhere else most organic shops should have sesame paste (that is basicly the same, just more expensive...)
